Join The Campaign For Liberty
I’m sometimes political on this blog of mine. You’re welcome to disagree with me and my beliefs, of course, and to share that in your comments; you are afforded that right by the Constitution of the United States. I often wonder, however, how many U.S. Citizens really think about the many rights that are protected by our Constitution.
I occasionally watch Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, which is an interesting game show seemingly intended to display either how stupid our population has become, or else intended to show how little of what we learn in school is actually useful. In either case, one of the questions recently was this:
Which amendment of the United States Constitution guarantees freedom of religion?
Now, the answer is the 1st Amendment, of course. And while the contestant got it right, he had to deliberate for a long while on it. He relied on a “gut feeling”, which in this case turned out to be right, but I feel that we ought to know our Amendments and our Constitution far better than we do. This is one reason I’ve joined the Campaign for Liberty.
The Campaign For Liberty is a campaign that Senator Ron Paul has started to help elect libertarian-leaning candidates to office as well as to educate the people of the United States on our basic liberties.
Go visit the Campaign For Liberty website and learn what this campaign is about. It’s not about Democrat or Republican. It’s about choosing liberty. It’s about choosing the freedom to be a Patriot.
