Found a new blog in my Internet roaming…
There is a blog entitled Beer Girl, that I find very interesting. I don’t want to play into any stereotypes, (and she’d not appreciate it much), but in my experience most girls don’t like beer. Daniel’s wife, Julie, is one rare exception.
So it’s doubly interesting when you find a girl who’s dedicated her blog to beer. :) Check out her blog. Especially if you’re from California, as she’ll be able to find beers that we cannot. (Her Twitter page says she lives in New York.)

So glad you like the blog! Keep reading, and if you have any West Coast suggestions for me, let me know and I’ll try to find them! And I think there’s definitely not enough girls drinking beer, and I’m hoping to prove that at least some of us can and do appreciate beer.
Well, the Widmer Bros. Broken Halo IPA I suggested is an Oregon beer, and it would be pretty sweet if you could find it! Their Drifter Pale is an excellent example of how hops can be used to enhance a nice pale far beyond just bitterness like Sierra Nevada so likes to do. (And I like me a Sierra Nevada Pale on occasion. I just think that there’s a LOT more to hops than bitterness, and many varieties can be used to create complex flavors and aromas.)
A brew I wish I could find out here are the Smuttynose brews. Think you could ship me some?? ;) I had the brown when I was in Boston a couple weeks ago, and man was it good!
So, truth be told, I am one of those girls who doesn’t really like beer- BUT I just found a beer I like! First time EVER! Too bad it’s probably hard to find… Asahi Black. If I like that, what others might I like?
Natali, thank you for the comment!
Kim HATES beer, too. About the only beer she likes is Wild Blue and Framboise. Which reminds me…

Beer Girl recommended a list of beers for people who don’t like beer, and Framboise is (deservedly) on that list. Wild Blue is not on that list, but could easily be placed alongside the Framboise, as it’s very similar, only Blueberry.
I’ve never tried Asahi Black, to be honest. I tend to steer clear of Asian beers, as they tend to be light, flavorless lagers. However, with a name like Black, it’d better not be light!!! I will try it as soon as I can and get back to you. I wouldn’t feel right suggesting beers without understanding the flavor profile of your listed beer. :)
