Back from the Coast. Glad to be back. Not glad to be moving!
So yes, we are back from the coast. We had a good time with friends, and as usual, we funned ourselves out. Kind of a relief to be back at work. Until, that is, I got one of THOSE problems placed in my lap that promises to take all day.
The trip was cool except for the fact that I was sick on my birthday. :( My birthday was Saturday, and we’d planned to go to Hearst Castle, go see the Elephant Seals, and anything else we felt like doing. Didn’t happen for me, as I was in bed with a fever, aches, and chills. That was gone by the afternoon, however, and the weekend resumed as though nothing happened.
When we got back, we moved our bookshelves and books, so Kim will be unpacking those today.
The state of my desk when I got here today, however, was quite interesting. One of my little quirks is that I love opening brown boxes from Amazon. They usually contain toys, and I LOVE opening those things up. More to the point, I can’t let a box sit on my desk without opening it, even if I know what it is.
Well, my co-workers said, “Hm…he likes opening stuff…” This was what my desk looked like when I got here this morning.
Sooooo…they wrapped each item on my desk individually. I was busy for a good half hour this morning, getting my desk unwrapped.
This is my phone. I wanted to leave it wrapped all day, but I was told that I couldn’t.
Not the greatest picture, I know, but what you’re looking at towards the bottom of the screen is my keyboard and mouse.
So far, it’s been an alright day. I just need to go back to bed soon. :)
