Unity Without Verity is a great blog, too.  Just discovered it today, and I recommend it.  Good reading.

    Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate the link. Packer’s article is an excellent defense, IMO, of one of the more common objections to Reformed theology/Calvinism.

    I like the blog. I’ve always liked War (the original and the Springsteen remake) but like you, the lyrics do miss the point a bit. I wonder how popular it would have been in 1942?

    The Taliesin who just made the comment is the Taliesin from the Unity Without Verity blog that I have added to my Blogroll section. You really should go check out his blog. While my blog is a catchall from beer brewing, to rants, to my faith…his is a dedicated theology blog, and very edifying.

    And the answer to your question, sir? How popular would the song, War, have been in 1942? Not. Not at all. There used to be something called treason, or at the least, sedition.
