God is sovereign…
It seems like I’m always having to remind someone of that fact. All too often, that someone has been me. ;) I forget this too. But here’s something to think about:
I don’t know what situation you’re going through…doesn’t matter, really. No matter what the situation, the title of this blog is always true. God isn’t sitting there, anxious over whether He’ll win the “conflict” between Him and Satan. He is sovereign, and His will, holy and perfect, will be done. Does He love to see His creation suffering under the consequences of Adam’s sin?? Of course not, but God will be glorified in everything that happens under the sun.
What does that mean to the Christian? To the Christian with the correct perspective, that should be a comfort. God will be glorified in the situation you’re going through. God is there, providentially shaping matters so that He will be glorified. And that is what we, as Christians, should want.
To the non-Christian? Well, basically this whole thing should scare the crap out of you…sorry.
