Brains? Does anyone have those things anymore???
I don’t ask that people know all about computers. That would be unreasonable! But is it unreasonable for me to expect that when someone receives a message saying to log off their computers and log right back on, they should read the whole freakin’ thing?? In fact, I actually had someone tell me this, today:
“You should put ‘Please Read All of this Message’ at the beginning of the message.”
Excuse me?? I actually need to TELL people this?
In the interests of public safety, here are a few things I’d like to tell everyone.
1. Please read the entire message that your IT department sends you.
2. Please do not poke yourself in the eye with hot metal rods.
3. Please do not pull your eyes out of their sockets and smack the crap out of them as they dangle on your cheeks.
4. Please do not stick your hand under a running lawnmower.
5. Please do not chop your fingers off.
6. Please do not drink 90% HCl acid.
7. Please do not shoot yourself in the head with a gun.
8. Please do not jump off a 100 ft. cliff with no means of slowing your descent.
9. Please do not jump from a car travelling at 90 mph.
and finally…
10. Please wipe your butt after you take a crap…not before.
