That was kind of a bummer, wasn’t it?
I apologize for my previous post. It was kind of a downer, and anyone coming to look at my blog might have been bummed out by what I posted. To anyone who felt that way after reading my post, I say to you:
Get a helmet!!!
Seriously, life isn’t always fun, and despite what pretty much everyone would like to think, God is NOT concerned with your happiness. Nowhere does He promise you that you will be happy. There’s going to be stuff that happens to you that sucks. And when those things happen, you’re going to look around and remember that this world and nearly everything in it totally sucks.
Psychologists will probably tell you that this outlook is one of the damaging effects of Christianity. To them, I would like to say:
You’re retarded!
Many people spend their entire lives acting like bad things don’t happen, and then whine when Christians point out that bad things do happen…and furthermore, God intends for this life to be that way. However can you deal with that?? Simple…our hope, and our joy does not come from this life. Our hope and joy is in the life to come, and THAT is why Christians should be able to deal with the problems that life throws their way. We know that no matter what happens, this life is temporary. No matter what happens, we have eternal life, and that life cannot be taken from us, no matter how crappy things end up in this life.
My problems are not resolved, but I know that they are in God’s hands, and because of that, I will let things happen as they happen, and trust to His perfect will that everything will end up for my good. Because He DOES promise that.
