Life doesn’t suck…

Published by Taliesin under Random Topics

Life doesn’t suck, but it’s not always very enjoyable. Could it be worse? Yeah. And no, this isn’t a new revelation…just more of the same.

My sin is perhaps pride. I have my problems, and I’m sure I create most of them. It takes someone far older and wiser than I to humble me, and it happened today, praise God. Humble thyself in the sight of the Lord. It took a secular person to show me that this morning. God uses all kinds of different methods for pointing you back to the Word, which is the only place He has revealed His truth. I have been proud. I need to be more humble. The Lord grant that I remember this past the hour. People make so much of my memory, but I often find it difficult to remember what is truly important.

The truth is, I’m still looking. Looked a lot yesterday, but nothing has come of it yet. Perhaps the Lord will reveal His will today. Perhaps He won’t. Perhaps it’s His perogative.

I’m not very happy at the moment, but His utmost concern is not my happiness. This, I have not forgotten.

Mondays suck…

Published by Taliesin under Rants

I’ve gotten in the habit of writing long entries, and I think there is something to be said for “short, and to the point.” So this entry will be short.

I cannot say for a certainty that ALL Mondays suck, because I’m sure that there’s a Monday out there that didn’t suck, proving my absolute statement to be false. But yesterday was a Monday…and it sucked. Today is Tuesday…I hope it doesn’t.

In the way of explanation, we went to dinner at the home of a family from our church, and had a blast. The evening was very enjoyable…however the rest of the day definitely sucked. :)

I am currently drinking: Nothing, it’s 8:23am, and I’m at work. But last night, I drank Samuel Smith’s Taddy Porter, which was a good, smoky beer. Smelled like roasty coffee, which I expect from a porter. Very drinkable beer. Finished up the evening with a Moylan’s Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale…still one of the greatest beers in the world, possibly surpassed only by McEwans Scotch Ale.
